Fox News report misleading information about Palestinian-American Michigan congressional candidate Huwaida Arraf
Fox News story about Palestinian-American attorney and Democratic civil rights activist Huwaida Arraf decision to run for Michigan 10 congressional district seat totally ignored any of Arraf’s qualifications or political motivations. Instead, Fox News labeled Arraf as “anti-Israel” because of her work to defend the Palestinian people against the Israeli occupation. The reporting makes the point that being with or against Israel as the only criteria that matters for those who decide to run for political office. The report reeks with racist and defamatory undertones against Arraf casting her as a supporter of violence against Israel and as being investigated by the FBI for ties to terrorism.
