This interview with NRP discusses the work of Palestinian Chilean singer Elyanna, who made history by singing her performance at the Coachella music festival entirely in Arabic. Originally born in Nazareth, Elyanna began her career primarily singing in English, following in the footsteps of her idols Adele, Beyonce, and others. But in singing in Arabic, Elyanna is able to break entirely new musical ground.
