Netflix’s comedy-drama series Mo renewed for a second and final season

Netflix comedy-drama series Mo, about a Palestinian refugee seeking US citizenship, has been renewed for a second and final season. Mo is played by the comic Mo Amer, starring as a fictionalised version of himself. The show tells the story of a Palestinian-American Muslim who grew up in Kuwait but fled to the US with his family after the Gulf war, where he lived undocumented in Houston, Texas. The series was met with positive reviews for its Palestinian representation, and received critical acclaim and awards following its release in August 2022.
