ISRAEL USES A PROPAGANDA FILM TO BURY A NEW DOCUMENTARY ABOUT GAZA
The documentary NAZA exposes Israeli military personnel describing the systems behind the killing of Palestinian civilians in Gaza.
In an extraordinary act of censorship, an Israeli propaganda film also titled NAZA has been produced, promoted, and now appears ahead of the original NAZA in search results, on both X and Google, making it harder for audiences to find a film exposing Israeli war crimes. Instead of the first result being the legitimate, critically acclaimed 80-minute film of Israeli soldiers admitting to war crimes and comparing themselves to Nazis, internet users are fed a 40-minute film that recycles almost every single official IDF/Netanyahu line since 10/7.

This Israeli censorship effort involved producing an entire film, employing dozens if not hundreds of people, and filming interviews on rooftops across Tel Aviv, all to reduce the number of people who see a documentary exposing the crimes committed by the Israeli military. The sheer amount of resources Israel devoted to burying this documentary offers a measure of how threatening it considers the film’s contents to be.
NAZA will reportedly be available on The Guardian’s website this November.
